Decorative detailed engraved map, hand colored in outline when published. Detailed map of the wider area from the junction of the Ohio river with the Mississippi river towards the junction in the south of the White river with the Mississippi river. The map is showing the western part of Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and the northern part of Mississippi. The map provides an enormous amount of information settlements, towns, small place names, rivers, roads, mountains, streets, etc. The map also shows the Indian regions with engraved boundaries (Choctaw & Chickasaw Boundary).

Steel engraving, hand colored in outline when published. This fine detailed antique map by the German map maker Joseph Meyer shows the southern states Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. Inside the map are many place names, rivers, lakes, streets etc. engraved. The map has an inset map, which shows the surrounding of New Orleans. A interesting and detailed map of the Southern United States for the beginning collector of antique maps of the United States.

Steel engraving, hand colored in outline and wash when published. This antique map shows Arkansas with his canals, streets and distances from the main points. The map is equipped with many streets, routes, rivers, lakes, place names, etc. In the upper side we find a mileage scale and steamship routes: Little Rock - Pittsburg, Little Rock - Fort Gibson & Little Rock - New Orleans. A detailed engraved map by the famous German map maker Meyer Joseph. The map is based on Tanner's work in the early 1840s.

In good condition. At the top one old mended tear in the blank margin, along the left side small marginal tears and mendings slightly affecting the engraved map.
