Original copper engraving, hand colored in outline, when published. Double page sea chart covering detailed the Cap Verde Islands in the Atlantic Ocean (Isla de San Antonia, San Vincente, S. Lucia, S. Nicolas, I. do Sal, de Bona Vista, do Mayo, S. Jago, del Fuogo, de Brava). Many place names of smaller towns are listed along the coast lines the islands. As well some anchor places and depths are marked. In the upper centre a large figurative title cartouche in full contemporary colors. Below an additional cartouche with a scale of miles is present. In the centre of the sea chart a compass rose. The map was published ca. 1655 in Jansson's 'Sea-Atlas' (volume V). This sea-atlas, was the first real Sea-Atlas (Koeman), which covered areas over the whole world.

Copper engraving, uncolored as published. This beautiful map is a bird's eye view and shows the ground plan from the town and the Fort of Sant Jago. A fine detailed and interesting map engraved by Bellin after earlier voyages. Published in the German edition by Schwabe in Leipzig of Bellin's travel books.

Copper engraving, uncolored as published. This antique map shows us the eyelands of Madera and Porto Santo. An antique map, which shows the island Madeira, a plan of Funchal and the island Goree. The left part of the map shows the island Madeira, next to it the island Porto Santo, both with many place names, mountains, rivers. The map is also equipped with a mileage scale. In the second section of the map is a large plan of Funchal with the port and the surrounding. Inside the map are mileage scale. A fine detailed and interesting map engraved by Bellin after earlier voyages. Published in the German edition by Schwabe in Leipzig of Bellin's travel books.

This map shows the Isles of Cap Verde which are St. Antonie, St. Vincent, St. Lucie, St. Nikolas, Isle de Sal, Isle de Buenavista, Isle de Mai, St. Yago, Isle Fuego and Isle Brava. In the upper side we look to a mileage scale and in the left side we see an inside map which shows us the plan of Praya.
