Lithograph, original hand colored in outline. Large and detailed map showing the Eastern Seaboard from Duxbury, CT. across Massachusetts, New Hampshire towards Columbia near Pleasant River in northern Maine. Inland the map extends towards the state of New York with Lake Ontario. Equipped with detailed information on the names of rivers and lakes, mountains, Forts and Indian tribes. The map was published in Phillippe Marie Vandermaelen's atlas of North America.
Still in very good to excellent condition. Slightly browned at the lower centre fold, affecting mostly the blank margin. Hardly visible within the image.

Steel engraving, hand colored in outline when published. Detailed and interesting map of the state of Maine. In the upper right corner we see a table listing the cantons and canton towns of Maine with a table of the population of Maine of the different periods. At the bottom is a mileage scale. The map is equipped with many place names, rivers, lakes, etc. The individual counties are named on the map: Washington, Charlotte, Cumberland, York, Oxford, Waldo, Somerset, Penobscot, Lincoln, etc. A detailed engraved map by the famous German map maker Meyer Joseph. The map is based on Tanner's work in the early 1840s.
In very good to excellent condition. Paper with minor toning.

Lithograph, original hand colored in outline and wash. A very nice detailed map of the state of Maine with many small place names, rivers, ect. At the bottom we find the explanation of the map with a small mileage scale.
In very good condition. At the bottom a minor marginal water stain, but not affecting the image of the map.
