Both maps have small title cartouches in the corners. Villages and towns are shown as miniature views, as well mountains and rivers are shown. The map of istria is after Peter Coppo (1569), the other one of the Dalmatian coast with the area of Zadar is engraved after Paulo Forlani (1570). Two maps on one doublepage plate, each one of them showing a title cartouche at the top centre. Villages and towns are shown as miniature views, as well mountains and rivers are shown. The both maps are engraved after Wolfgang Lazius. This example is in very decorative colours and in excellent condition, however the hand colour is probably done by a later hand. On the full sheet as published. The detailled map on the Duchy of Tirol, is mainly showing South Tirol with the area Insbruck, Trient, the Lago de Garda towards Verona in the South. Augsburg, M. Seutter, 1720 [50,1 x 58,2 cm] Copper engraving, hand colored in outline and wash when published. A large and very decorative map, which shows Dalmatia, Croatia and Slavonia. The map is equipped with many small place names, rivers, mountains, woods, islands, etc. The regions, which are engraved are Bosnia, Dalmatia, Albania, a part of Hungary, Transilvania, Croatia, the gulf of Venezia and a part of Italy. In the lower right corner we see a cartouche with five coat of arms from the regions of Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Bosnia and Serbia. At the bottom are two mileage scales. Highly decorative map showing Carniola with the areas of Istria and a part of Dalmatia. Ornated in the upper right corner view a city view of Laibach and in the lower right corner with a large decorative allegoric cartouche and in the lower left corner a map-inset (lake of Czirkniz), with a description holded by four puttis. In the lower right corner we find a milage-scale. This is the 1st state of this map, without the engraved graduation lines and without the privilege in the center at the bottom. A strong impression of this map. There is a slight discoloration in the original handcolor and a mended tear at the lower center-fold (c. 12cm). However still in acceptable to good condition.
