Slavonia Mercator, Gerard Sclavonia, Croatia Bosnia Cum Dalmatiae Parte. Sclavonia Amsterdam, I.E. Cloppenburgh, 1632 [19 x 25,8 cm] Copper engraving, uncolored as published. A fine copy in a dark impression, full margins as published. This is the first so-called Cloppenburgh editions which was a competive edition with new engraved maps in a larger format. Most of the maps were engraved by Pieter van den Keere. The Cloppenburgh edition was continued for a couple of years but seems to have been suppressed after 1636 ... . This is another Cloppenburgh edition, now with Latin text. The maps from the Appendix have been incorporated. The title-page is followed by a dedication to Prince Frederik Hendrik, dated 1632 and signed by Johannes Cloppenburgh. (Koeman Atlantes Neerlandici). In excellent condition. Amsterdam, Blaeu, J. & G. 1643-50 [38,5 x 50 cm] Copper engraving, hand colored in outline when published. This antique map show Slavonia, Croatia, Bosnia and a part of Dalmatia. Inside the map are many place names, woods, mountains, rivers, etc. In the upper right corner we see the allegoric title cartouche and two mileage scales. In the upper middle field we sea three coat of arms. A ship in the lower left corner, which is on the Golf of Venezia, embellish the map . In excellent condition. London, Moses Pitt 1680 [35,8 x 46 cm] Copper engraving, uncolored as published. This antique map shows detailed Slavonia, Croatia, Bosnia and a part of Dalmatia. Place names, hills, mountains, forests and rivers are detailed engraved. At the top three coat of arms and a floral ornated title cartouche. The map was originally published by Gerard Mercator in Amsterdam. The plates were later sold to Moses Pitt and he published this plate with minor changes in his atlas. He added to most of the plates square grids. Ohills and forests, larger cities as uncolored miniature views. The map shows detailled Slavonia, Croatia, Bosinia and a part of Dalmatia. Augsburg, G. Bodenehr 1704-20 [13,2 x 20,3 cm] Copper engraving, uncolored as published. This fine engraving was published in Gabriel Bodenehr's famous serious "Europeans Macht und Pracht", a series of engravings depicting city views, plans, fortresses and castles in Europe. Many plates often are showing fortifications in Hungary and Southeast Europe, Spain, Belgium, Austria and Germany. Vienna, Reilly 1789 [19,5 x 29,8 cm] Original copper engraving, hand colored in wash and outline, when published. This antique map shows the Slovenia with Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia and Serbia. The map is equipped with many place names, rivers, mountains, lakes, etc. In the upper right corner is the title cartouche and in the lower left corner we look to a small mileage scale. The Austrian cartographer Franz Joh. Josef von Reilly published around 1789 in Vienna a large amount of very detailed district maps of Central Europe. These maps are famous for their large scales and the many details they provide. Even tiny place names can be found on those maps, rivers, mountains, streets, monasteries are as well engraved. The maps, which Franz J. Reilly engraved, were especially designed for the Austrian Royal house and show countries, provinces and districts belonging to the 'Austrian-Hungarian Empire'.
