    Antwerp, Christopher Platin 1598 [37 x 47,9 cm]
    Original copper engraving, handcolored, published 1598 in the Atlas "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum" at Christopher Platin in Antwerp. Finely hand-colored in wash and outline. The map is ornated with a small title cartouche on the lower right side and a text cartouche below. Villages and towns are shown as miniature view. A very good example in excellent condition.

    Amsterdam, G. Mercator 1609. [35,8 x 46 cm]
    Copper engraving, colored in outline, published by Jodocus Hondius. Originally coloured boundaries and title cartouche, depicting hills and forests, larger cities as coloured miniature views. The map shows detailled Slavonia, Croatia, Bosinia and a part of Dalmatia. Detailed explanations in French on the back.
    Still in very good condition. The paper browned, with marginal water-staining, not affecting the image.

    Sclavonia Croatia Bosniacum Dalmatiae Parte

    Amsterdam, I.E. Cloppenburgh, 1630 . [18,7 x 25,7 cm]
    Published in the first Cloppenburgh edition of Gerhard Mercator's "Atlas Minor" in 1630, verso French text. This is the first so-called Cloppenburgh editions which was a competive edition with new engraved maps in a larger format. Most of the maps were engraved by Pieter van den Keere. The Cloppenburg edition was continued for a couple of years but seems to have been suppressed after 1636 ... (Koeman Atlantes Neerlandici). A fine copy in a dark impression, full margins as published.

    Copper engraving, uncolored as published. A fine copy in a dark impression, full margins as published. This is the first so-called Cloppenburgh editions which was a competive edition with new engraved maps in a larger format. Most of the maps were engraved by Pieter van den Keere. The Cloppenburgh edition was continued for a couple of years but seems to have been suppressed after 1636 ... . This is another Cloppenburgh edition, now with Latin text. The maps from the Appendix have been incorporated. The title-page is followed by a dedication to Prince Frederik Hendrik, dated 1632 and signed by Johannes Cloppenburgh. (Koeman Atlantes Neerlandici).
    In excellent condition.

    Das Koenigreich Sklavonien und Herzogthum Syrmien. Nro. 3.

    Vienna, Reilly 1789 [19,5 x 29,8 cm]
    Original copper engraving, hand colored in wash and outline, when published. This antique map shows the Slovenia with Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia and Serbia. The map is equipped with many place names, rivers, mountains, lakes, etc. In the upper right corner is the title cartouche and in the lower left corner we look to a small mileage scale. The Austrian cartographer Franz Joh. Josef von Reilly published around 1789 in Vienna a large amount of very detailed district maps of Central Europe. These maps are famous for their large scales and the many details they provide. Even tiny place names can be found on those maps, rivers, mountains, streets, monasteries are as well engraved. The maps, which Franz J. Reilly engraved, were especially designed for the Austrian Royal house and show countries, provinces and districts belonging to the 'Austrian-Hungarian Empire'.
    In excellent condition.
