In the centre of the map the river Roddan from its source towards St Moritz. Villages and cities are shown as schematic city views. Further the map is decorated with coat of arms and some animals. Sebastian Münster's map of Wallis is the oldest available map and was published only in a very few editions of his Cosmographia from 1545 to 1552. Overall the map shows 188 different place names.
