Copper engraving, uncolored as published. Highly detailed large so-called blue-back chart by James Imray and Son. This sea chart depicts the gulf of Siam, Cambodia and the southern part of Vietnam. At the top with three inset maps of the mouth of the Chentabun River, the Bangkok river and the junctions of various rivers leading to Saigon and a detailed inset chart of the gulf of Bangkok. At the bottom two inset maps of the islands Pulo Obi and Pulo Condore. The large detailed chart extends in the south towards the Malay peninsula and includes the Anamba and Natuna islands. The map provides highly detailed information on anchor places, depths, soundings and other details on navigation and place names.
The large chart mounted as usual on blue-back paper. Minor loss of paper in the upper left corner, mainly marginal. Very minor tracks of use. In very good to excellent condition.
