Tulipe cultivee (Variete) - Tulipa culta (Var.)

Paris, C.L.F. Panckoucke 1827-33 [28 x 22 cm]
Stipple engraving, printed in colors and finished by hand. Old colored copper engraving published in the famous series 'Choix des plus belles fleurs ...' (a selection of the most beautiful flowers and fruits) by Pierre Joseph Redoute. The printing technique was stipple engraving, the colors were partly printed and then finished by hand.
Overall very clean, some minor surface soiling on paper. With good margins around the visible plate mark. Image size: ca. 11 x 9 inches. Sheet size: ca. 19 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches. In very good condition. [Plate 142 - Choix des plus belles fleurs ...]
