Date: 1663 Size: [41 x 53 cm] Technic: Copper engraving / Original color. Description: Copper engraving, in original color, finely handcolored in wash and outline when published. A very good example of Jansson's map of the North Pol finely handcolored throughout. The decorative map ornated in the upper part with a large allegoric title cartouche and in the lower right corner another decorative cartouche with inhabitants and animals. Published in Jansson's Atlas (German text edition). Notes: In very good condition.
