The map has four inset maps which are showing the 'mouth of the Mississippi', 'Manhattan Island', 'Eastern Virginia', Maryland and a map showing the density of population in North America. Inside the map are many small place names, also along many place names, rivers, lakes, railroads, etc. At the lower right bottom we find the explanation for this antique map.
