Description: Copper-engraving, handcolored in outline, published in Blaeu's 'Atlas Major' around 1650-60. Decorative map of the second Chinese province 'Xansi', ornated with the typical high decorative ornated title cartouche and the ornated mileage scale. The map itself covers the province Xansi, the centre of the map shows the cities Fuencheu, Taiyven, Che, Leao, Pingyang, Lugan, Hoaiking and many other smaller cities and place names. The upper left portion of the map is ornated with an impressive 'Great Wall'. On the left side is an engraved explanation for cities and villages, rivers, lakes, fortresses, etc.
