The left one is showing the mouth of the river Ems into the North Sea, with Emden in 'Ostfrisland' and the 'Groningerland', as well the superior islands Norderney, Iust, Borckum and Rottum are prominently shown. The other map is showing Friesland with Harlingen and the islands 'Schelling', 'Grind' and 'Vlie'. Both are ornated with title-cartouches, ships and compass-roses. One one map we a table with a detailed listing of 36 sandbanks in the mouth of the river Ems. Notes: A strong impression in excellent condition.
