Published: Amsterdam, Jacques & Gasper Anthoine Date: 1662 Size: [42,5 x 52,7 cm] Technic: Copper engraving / later handcolour Description: Detailled seachart of the Schagerak showing the Swedish coast from Maesterland and Gotheburg towards Schonen and Zeeland, as well the map was equipped with an inset of the Sond with Copenhagen. The map has many details, names of towns and villages along the coastlines, anchor places, islands and sandbanks are with marked depths. The map is ornated in the upper left corner with a large title-cartouche, three compass-roses and ships. In the upper center we find a milage scale to convert Dutch, Spanish, English & French leagues to degrees. In the lower right bottom there is a large inset map of the Sond, equipped with a decorative floral ornated title-carouche.
