Description: Lithograph, hand colored in outline and printed partly in colors. Detailed map of the 'Republic of Texas', borders of the Republic hand colored in outline when published. The printing technique of this map is a fine lithograph, which was executed by the publisher and printer Carl Flemming in Glogau, Silesia. In this edition the water of the gulf of Mexico is already printed in colors, as well this edition of the map does not have the key, naming the counties, in the upper right corner of the map. The map is pretty high accurate and naming many cities and smaller places, as well rivers, mountains and Indian territories. In the lower left corner we find an inset map of Galveston Bay.
