Decorative map of the duchy of Steyr (Steyrmarck) with the city of Graz in the centre of the map. The map with many details like placenames of smaller villages, castles, mountains, rivers, etc. A great regional map of this part of Austria. Ornated with a decorative allegoric title cartouche (mining scene) in the upper left corner. The cartographer Christoph Weigel worked around 1719 in Nuernberg and his maps are showing the typical style of this period in mapmaking in Southern German. He worked very close as with Johann B.
