Description: Copper engraving, hand colored in outline, when published. Large decorative map of eastern Canada with New England. It shows the northeastern regions from New York up to New Hampshire. The area from the Kennebec River in Maine along the northeast coast is shown claimed by France. The Gulf of St. Lawrence river is in a large scale and the river flows down to Quebec. With many engraved place names of smaller cities and villages, as well rivers and lakes are pretty accurate shown. In the lower right corner we find a decorative allegoric title cartouche with a beaver and a boat, as well a small mileage scale. Notes: A few tiny marginal mendings, else in very good condition.
