The entire series of the 'Civitates Orbis Terrarum' comprised six volumes and was published and printed from 1572 towards 1619. Two decorative city views on one doublepage. Decorative panoramic city view of the city of Brixen in South Tyrol with the rivers Eisak and Rienz. The landscape is ornated in the background with the alps, as well wine yards in the foreground. The view of the city is pretty accurate with the churches, the bridge and the surrounding walls. The second view on this doublepage is Lauingen on the Danube in Suevia.
