The entire series of the 'Civitates Orbis Terrarum' comprised six volumes and was published and printed from 1572 towards 1619. Decorative panoramic city views of Stockholm in Sweden. This decorative views of Stockholm are engraved after Hieronymus Scholeus, this are pretty is one of the earliest obtainable printed old city views of Stockholm. The views are ornated with scenes of sailing ships in the harbor. The city is very well shown with its walls, the port and the surrounding decorative landscape.
