Large and detailed engraved map of the area mainly south of Ragusa, showing parts of Serbia and Herzogovina, as well the coastline down towards Alessio. A highly decorative map of the famous Italian cartographer Vincenzo M. Coronelli. Ornated in the lower left corner with a highly decorative title cartouche with an allegory to the Dalmatian sea. Vincenzo Coronelli was exceedingly successful in publishing his atlases 'Isolario' and the 'Atlante Veneto', he worked also for Louis XIV and had therefore in France access to the newest cartographic information.
