Large and detailled engraved map of the area around and mainly north of Ragusa, showing as well the adjacenting islands and channels near the coast of Ragusa in the Dalmatian Sea. A highly decorative map of the famous Italian cartographer Vincenzo M. Coronelli. Ornated in the lower centre with a highly decorative amorial mileage scale (allegory to the turkish war) and a large decorative floral ornated title cartouche in the upper right corner. Vincenzo Coronelli was exceedingly successful in publishing his atlases 'Isolario' and the 'Atlante Veneto', he worked also for Louis XIV and had therefore in France access to the newest cartographic informations.
