Description: Copper-engraving, hand colored in outline, when published. Decorative map of Finland by the French cartographer Le Rouge. This antique map of Finland shows the movements of the Swedish and Russian during the war 1742 in Finland. The engraved title and privilege in the upper right corner. The map itself reaches from around between the Swedish In the upper centre with a large allegoric decorative title cartouche, a small mileage scale in Carloon and Cajaneburg in the north across the gulf of Finland towards the neighbouring Russia with St. Petersburg in the south. With many engraved place names of cities and smaller villages, rivers, lakes and mountains.
