Description: Copper-engraving, uncolored when published. The large plate shows two hemispheres with two circular celestial star charts. At the bottom we find two detailed tables with explanations on the longitudes of the stars and the months of the year. Further on the map is equipped with explaining text to astronomy. In the upper centre a text cartouche with a dedication to Marcus Bembo. Vincenzo Coronelli was exceedingly successful in publishing his atlases 'Isolario' and the 'Atlante Veneto', he worked also for Louis XIV and had therefore in France access to the newest cartographic information.
