Large impressive map of the West Indies with the gulf of Mexico and Florida. The map shows prominently in the centre Cuba, Haiti, the Bahamas and Florida, which is here marked in the map as the province 'Tegesta'. With many engraved place names, rivers and mountains. Also islands, sand banks and reefs are shown on the map. Also Central America is nicely and detailed shown with Yucatan, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Terra Firmae. In the right upper corner is a beautiful colored title cartouche held by two putties. At the top a Dutch engraved title is present with a mileage scale and table of explanations.
