The entire series of the 'Civitates Orbis Terrarum' comprised six volumes and was published and printed from 1572 towards 1619. A beautiful bird's eye view of Odense, capital of Fionia in Denmark. This view shows us the city of Odense detailed engraved with streets, houses, churches, places and its surrounding with the adjacenting Baltic Sea with sailing ships in the water. At the bottom we find a table of explanations listing important buildings of the city. This view was published 1598 in volume V of Braun and Hogenberg's 'Civitates Orbis Terrarum'.
