This antique map shows the Carolina with the neighbouring Florida in the South, Georgia is named inland left of Port Royal. The map is equipped with many place names, rivers, lakes, etc. further a few streets are engraved. In the upper left corner historical engraved notes how Col. Barnwell defeated the Indians 1712 and how Col. Craven routed the Indians in 1716. Further names of several Indian tribes are shown on the map. In the lower right corner the title cartouche and descriptive text on the English claim of the property of Carolina. Published in Hermann Moll's 'Atlas Minor' 1736 in London. Notes: In excellent condition.
