A fabulous map showing the delineation of Lake Superior (Canada) and the northern part of Lake Michigan with the neighboring state Wisconsin. This is one sheet (map no 2) of Calvin Smith's famous map of North America. Here is the rare version in lithograph present, published in Cassel in Germany. A splendid detailed map, showing nicely the Great Lakes and Wisconsin and some adjacenting states. The map is highly detailed colored in outline and wash by counties and states, many place names, streets or routes, rivers, mountains, etc. are shown. An interesting collector's piece. Notes: In very good to excellent condition. Two small marginal mended tears at the blank bottom (not affecting the image of the map) and a few minor marginal pin holes.
