A highly decorative and early map showing Tuscia in central Italy by the famous cartographer and mapmaker Abraham Ortelius based on Girolamo Bellarmati's (1493-1555) map of this region. This early map here is present in a strong impression, ornated with a beautiful renaissance text cartouche and an small mileage scale below. Notes: In excellent condition.
