A highly decorative and early map showing the entire Italy by the famous cartographer and mapmaker Abraham Ortelius based on Giacomo Gastaldi's map of Italy. This early map here is present in a strong impression, ornated with a beautiful renaissance text cartouche, sailing boats, a large allegoric scene of Neptune in the lower center and a small ornated mileage scale in the right corner.
