Description: Copper engraving, uncolored as published. Fine engraved map showing New Mexico, Baja California and Texas with the gulf of Mexico. Texas is named 'Tecas' on the map. This detailed map was published in William Robertson's Storia dell'America. An interesting map engraved by Gius. Pezze, equipped with many place names and names of rivers and individual regions. In the lower left corner we do find an inset map of the city of Mexico and its surrounding. An interesting map for the Southwest of the United States around 1780.

Notes: The map was originally published folded, so that the old folds are still slightly visible. Narrow left margin skillfully remargined, else a very good clear impression of this map. In very good condition.
